As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time TWIC Access Authorization in Tampa, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

  • Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and port personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor and control entry and exit points for personnel, vehicles, deliveries, and contractors; verify authorization and maintain required access records.
  • Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; report observations and escalate concerns according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facilities, gates, dock areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized access, damaged barriers, or unusual activity.
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with dispatch, site representatives, and emergency responders while completing accurate activity, incident, and access-control documentation.
