About The Position

Allied Universal is currently hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a hotel in Boston, MA. This role involves serving and safeguarding clients in various industries, including Hotels & Resorts. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will have the flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and badge procedures. The role requires providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to guests, visitors, and staff, representing Allied Universal’s culture with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to guest concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hotel guest areas, public spaces, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related hazards according to site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to hotel management and Allied Universal leadership.
