As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Control in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control and badge procedures, and provide outstanding customer service. Using computer or tablet systems, you will communicate clearly, document activities, and collaborate with Allied Universal teammates while demonstrating agility, reliability, innovation, care, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients at a food and beverage location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of facility interiors, exterior areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
Support a professional environment for employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel while maintaining awareness of changing working conditions.
