As part of our team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, visitors, and staff in a dynamic healthcare environment. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring Henry Ford Health facilities and properties to protect individuals and assets from harm or loss. Your role is critical in guiding visitors, patients, and employees to their destinations and maintaining a safe environment by preventing and managing disturbances. You will also communicate important updates and summon assistance when needed.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
Valid unexpired Michigan operator's license
Completion of state minimum training certification requirements and required testing
Maintain a valid unexpired Michigan operator's license.
Satisfactorily complete state minimum training certification requirements and required testing.
Annual training and testing requirements must be maintained.

Nice To Haves

Hospital / Healthcare related security experience
Prior law enforcement experience in a sworn capacity (Local, State, County, Federal)
Four plus (4+) years of military experience with Honorable Discharge
May be required to use an intermediate weapon.
