About The Position

Magnolia Bluffs Casino, located on the historic site of the former Learned’s Mill, is seeking to expand its team by hiring a Security Officer. The casino, which opened in 2012 and is owned by Saratoga Casino Holdings, LLC, offers a wide range of gaming and dining experiences, complemented by a hotel with the area's only saltwater pool. This role is crucial in maintaining the best customer service and gaming experience for the city of Natchez.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Possess sound, mature judgment.
  • Possess organizational/planning skills.
  • Colorado Gaming Support License required.

  • Thorough knowledge of the Company Emergency Evacuation Procedures to efficiently handle fires, evacuations, robbery attempts, bomb threats, etc. in a professional, calm manner that will not panic guests or team members.

Responsibilities

  • Continually patrol assigned areas to ensure asset protection and the safety and assistance of guests and team members.
  • Write detailed reports on incidents such as theft, injury, or property damage.
  • Complete pit fills/credits and table drops.
  • Assist with slot drops, coin, and currency.
  • Act as a guard to prevent theft, violence, or rule infractions, and to assist guests and team members.
  • Patrol areas to watch for suspicious persons and activities.
  • Report irregular activities or apprehend/expel violators according to policy.
  • Assist in enforcing city, county, state, and federal laws and ordinances.
  • Maintain professional interactions with public service officials and representatives from other casinos.
  • Assist guests and team members in completing incident/accident reports.
  • Ensure support duties for all departments are carried out efficiently and take immediate action on illegal, life-threatening, or extraordinary situations.
  • Learn and efficiently handle company emergency evacuation procedures for fires, evacuations, robbery attempts, and bomb threats.
  • Identify and remove safety hazards promptly.
  • Perform CPR/medical assistance.
  • Use a fire extinguisher.
  • Receive and log lost and found items.
  • Escort guests and team members to their vehicles.
  • Contact the Black Hawk Police Department when necessary.
  • Perform AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) functions.
