Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and authorized contractors at a government military and naval facility by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and vehicle entry requirements in accordance with established site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site personnel and public emergency services as directed.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrol observations, incidents, access-related matters, and other assigned duties.
