About The Position

As a Security Officer Lobby Day Shift in Wilmington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location as a Front Desk Officer, where you will welcome visitors, manage access, and support daily security-related operations through strong communication and professionalism. In this customer-facing, driving post, you will help to deter incidents through a visible presence, teamwork, and integrity while delivering a caring and reliable experience for everyone entering the facility.

Requirements

  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific procedures, managing visitor access, and supporting security-related protocols for an industrial location.
  • Monitor lobby and entrance activity, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and help to deter unauthorized entry through attentive front desk presence.
  • Answer phones, greet employees, visitors, and contractors, and direct them according to location procedures and front desk instructions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Complete logs, reports, and other front desk documentation related to visitor activity, deliveries, and security-related events in accordance with site policies.
