Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details through appropriate site and Allied Universal channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify security-related concerns and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help support authorized access, observe visitor activity, and address questions or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Support public-facing operations by assisting with directions, observing for hazards or suspicious behavior, and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders when needed.
