As a Security Officer Experienced Patrol Specialist in Long Island City, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential location, including common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry for residents, visitors, vendors, and/or deliveries in accordance with property guidelines.
  • Document daily activities, unusual occurrences, and maintenance or security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
