As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Customer Service Patrol in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will communicate professionally, respond to routine concerns, and contribute through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach that reflects Allied Universal's values.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial facilities, production areas, parking areas, access points, and the property perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
  • Communicate observations and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision, while maintaining a professional presence in a fast-paced industrial environment.
