About The Position

The Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) is looking for a part-time Security Officer for their downtown Winnipeg location. This role is a key member of the Security & Administration department. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular physical security patrols, greeting visitors, operating access control and surveillance equipment, completing security reports, and conducting daily draws and winner number distribution. Availability is required 7 days a week, including days, evenings, overnight shifts, and holidays.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent
• Valid and current Security Guard License
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must be available for shift work on a rotational basis
• Recent copy of Driver’s Abstract is required

Nice To Haves

• Previous security experience considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular physical security patrols of the premises (building, warehouse, parking garage) checking for inadmissible persons, fire or safety hazards and notify applicable staff of any mechanical or environmental system alarms
• Greet all visitors to the premises and issue necessary visitor ID badge
• Answer and forward telephone calls at switchboard
• Operate automated access alarm control and surveillance equipment
• Complete and submit security reports as required
• Conduct daily draws and winner number distribution
• Other duties as assigned
