As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening individuals and/or items, monitoring assigned areas, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with team members and visitors, and contribute to Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals, packages, and property entering or leaving the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe loading, sorting, and shipping areas for unusual activity, reporting concerns to site management and/or appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, dock doors, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and support a secure work environment.
