About The Position

The PRN Security Officer assists in establishing and maintaining a safe and secure environment for all employees, physicians, patients, visitors, and property at St. Mary’s Health Care System.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current State of Georgia driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record (no more than six Trinity Health unsafe driving points within a 24-month period).
• Must obtain certifications in: American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR), International Association for Healthcare Safety and Security, Defensive Tactics, ASP Tactical Baton, Taser (certifications required within one year of employment, annual recertification required).
• Minimum of three years of security, police, or military experience preferred.
• Professional appearance, language, and attitude required.
• Must be mentally alert, socially responsive, intellectually honest, and morally sound.
• Diplomatic and tactful demeanor essential in delicate situations.

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare security experience is a plus.
