As a Security Officer X Ray Inspection in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will operate screening equipment, monitor access points, and help identify potential security-related concerns. You will remain visible, communicate professionally with team members and visitors, and support a welcoming environment while helping to protect people, property, and operations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related screening protocols at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or other authorized items in accordance with established access-control and screening procedures.
  • Monitor screening equipment and access points, report irregularities, and document activities according to site policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, operational spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
