As a Security Officer Licensed Area Patrol in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at a shelter location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with staff and visitors in a professional way.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, common areas, entry points, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, observe resident and visitor activity, and report security-related concerns, policy violations, and/or maintenance issues to site contacts as needed.
• Complete required reports and documentation related to incidents, observations, patrols, and/or daily activity in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site expectations.
