Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Valid NM Driver’s license and no DUI/DWI within last five years

Responsibilities

Patrol hospital buildings, parking areas, and campus grounds by foot and vehicle to help maintain a safe and secure environment.
Provide security services for patients, visitors, physicians, staff, and hospital property while delivering exceptional customer service.
Respond to emergencies, security incidents, and safety concerns with professionalism, sound judgment, and a calm demeanor.
Monitor CCTV cameras, access control systems, alarms, and other security technology to identify and respond to potential security risks.
Conduct routine security inspections of facilities, grounds, entrances, and critical infrastructure.
Assist patients, visitors, and staff by providing directions, escorts, and general assistance as needed.
Enforce hospital policies and procedures by addressing unauthorized access, disruptive behavior, safety concerns, and other security-related issues.
Complete accurate and timely incident reports, investigations, and required documentation.
Work collaboratively with hospital leadership, clinical teams, local law enforcement, EMS, and fire departments during emergency situations.
Participate in ongoing training, including de-escalation techniques, crisis intervention, patient restraint, and emergency response procedures.
Maintain department-issued equipment and perform additional duties as assigned in support of a safe healthcare environment.
