About The Position

We are currently hiring full-time Security Officers for a site in Clifton Park, NY. The positions offer a pay rate of $17.50 per hour but increases to $18.00 after 6 months of employment. The schedules available are as follows: Monday through Friday, 0600–1400 (6:00 AM – 2:00 PM), totaling 40 hours per week. Monday through Friday, 1400-2200 (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM), totaling 40 hours per week. Monday through Friday, 2200-0600 (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM), totaling 40 hours per week. Sign-On Bonus: $100 will be awarded to the candidates who are chosen for the positions and successfully completes 30 days of employment with no serious policy violations or attendance issues. Please be advised to be eligible for the sign-on bonus, applications must be submitted on or before July 31, 2026. Reliable transportation is required as public transit may not align with shift hours. The available positions will also require a valid NYS Driver's License and applicants must be able to meet the Securitas Safe Drive program requirements as they will be utilizing a client vehicle for patrols. CPR training will be provided if candidate does not have current certification. The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers. Requirements

Valid driver’s license (must be able to pass Safe-Drive certification).
Strong customer service skills with the ability to enforce site rules firmly and professionally.
Excellent written communication skills for report writing.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Able to remain calm and professional in high-pressure or confrontational situations.
Willingness to work outdoors for extended periods.
Reliable transportation is required as public transit may not align with shift hours.
Must be able to meet the Securitas Safe Drive program requirements as they will be utilizing a client vehicle for patrols.

Nice To Haves

Prior security experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Control access to the facility and monitor vehicle drop-offs and pickups.
Sit in the guard shack to oversee and manage the secure entry and exit of trucks.
Conduct driving patrols throughout the property (Safe-Drive certification required).
Log all transactions and activities both on paper and in computer systems.
Monitor for suspicious activity and ensure site policies are strictly followed.
Write clear, professional reports on incidents and daily activities.
Handle interactions with visitors and staff, including managing difficult situations.
Perform a large portion of duties outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Operate security-related technology and systems.
