About The Position

As a Security Officer Logistic Center Weekend Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring access points, screening personnel and/or visitors, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly, and support a visible presence that helps deter incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries in accordance with site procedures, including verifying authorized access and reporting discrepancies.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, shipping and receiving areas, and package handling operations to help identify and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access, and policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site management and emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, business areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter, documenting observations and completing required reports.
