About The Position

We are seeking a part-time unarmed security officer for a construction site in the Tempe area for firewatch. This is for part-time weekends, specifically every Saturday and Sunday, for a day shift from 6 am to 2 pm (8-hour shifts).

Requirements

Must possess a current AZ guard card.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working security at a construction site.
Maintain a solid work history.
Ability to walk and climb stairs during patrols.
Ability to work alone or with little supervision.

Nice To Haves

Ability to work with construction crews on site at times.

Responsibilities

Conduct fire watch patrols each hour, covering one area per hour.
Perform foot patrols of the areas to watch for theft, vandalism, unauthorized individuals, and homeless presence on site.
Utilize Silvertrac for report writing and incident documentation, maintaining detailed reports.
Respond to emergencies by calling 911 or non-emergency numbers as needed.
Interact professionally with people, being friendly but firm.
De-escalate issues effectively.
Collaborate with construction crews on site.
Observe and report site issues, including leaks, pipe bursts, door checks, fence lines, gates, fires, or other emergencies.
Contact the client in case of emergencies such as fires, burst pipes, or flooding.
Patrol six floors and outside areas, including walking and climbing stairs.
Wear provided PPE (hard hats, gloves, safety vests, safety glasses) at all times while on site.
