About The Position

As a Security Officer at a financial institution in San Diego, California, you will help safeguard employees, visitors, contractors, and the client’s property. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine unarmed patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The role also supports a welcoming environment through professional communication and customer service, while reporting observations and responding to site needs.

This is a full-time position with a scheduled day shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Thursday through Sunday. The pay rate is $23.00 per hour.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations, and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific security procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and document access-related events according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly and constructively to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; communicate with appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
