As a Security Officer Part Time Armed Patrol Operations in Ridley Park, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an Act 235 qualification in Pennsylvania.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, supporting controlled entry to sensitive aerospace and defense operations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrol findings, incidents, and security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
