Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and notifying appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, parking areas, trailer yards, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor the movement of visitors, drivers, and/or vendors entering and leaving the location, following site protocols for access control, identification checks, and delivery-related activity.
  • Support order and continuity of operations by reporting hazards, equipment issues, and/or policy violations, and by communicating professionally with site personnel and visitors.
