About The Position

Allied Universal is currently hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a Bio Lab in Ipswich MA. This role offers a fixed shift commitment with the option to pick up additional shifts. It is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors at a healthcare research and laboratory location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of laboratory buildings, offices, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and restricted areas in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
Prepare clear, accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.
