As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Operations in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Screener at a financial institution, you will help maintain a secure environment by operating screening equipment, monitoring access points, responding to alarms, and communicating professionally with employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Screen individuals and permitted items entering designated areas in accordance with established procedures, escalating concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Monitor entry points and maintain awareness of activity in assigned screening areas to help deter unauthorized access and security-related incidents.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Complete required logs, screening records, and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
