About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for an assigned manufacturing and industrial site in Fernandina Beach, Florida. The position provides a fixed weekly schedule of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM, with a six-month commitment to the assigned site and shifts. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to build up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. Pay is $16.00 per hour.

The officer provides customer service and carries out site-specific access-control procedures. Duties include monitoring and controlling access for employees, visitors, contractors, delivery personnel, vehicles, and pedestrians; verifying credentials and authorizations; keeping accurate access records; responding to incidents and alarms; and conducting patrols. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site access-control procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response procedures.
• Monitor site entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Control vehicle, pedestrian, and contractor access according to site requirements, including directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Respond calmly to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
