Requirements

  • Be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing Spanish.
  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directing individuals to appropriate departments while maintaining a professional and respectful presence.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
