BSG is currently seeking to immediately hire a Temporary Security Officer for a Bank in Sacramento. This is a static position where you’ll play a key role in keeping tenants safe, providing exceptional customer service, and responding to a variety of situations with professionalism and care. We are seeking guards who are alert, personable, and ready to make an impact in an area that values both safety and community.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Possess a current California Guard Card License.
  • A valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required for applicable sites.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Proficient in basic computer and smartphone usage.
  • Ability to navigate CCTV systems
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English to create accurate reports; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Strong listening skills, patience, and compassion, particularly when interacting with community members experiencing emotional or psychological challenges.
  • Ability to remain calm in crisis situations, think critically, de-escalate conflicts, and communicate effectively.
  • Maintain a positive, professional demeanor in adherence to all laws, regulations, company policies, and confidentiality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with both company and client policies and procedures while being open to performance improvement.
  • Possess a clear understanding of emergency response procedures and protocols.
  • At least one year of experience in security, mobile patrol, or event staff roles.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Successfully pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a consistent and professional presence in parking and common areas to deter unwanted activity through observation and visibility.
  • Provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance to guests by offering directions, information, and general support.
  • Observe and document activity within the assigned areas, report any safety or maintenance concerns, and follow company and client protocols when responding to incidents.
  • Monitor parking lot traffic to promote smooth flow and compliance with property rules.
  • Accurately complete daily reports, incident summaries, and observations through the Lighthouse mobile reporting platform.
  • Communicate effectively with Operations, site management, and individual tenant representatives to ensure seamless coordination and client satisfaction.
  • Lift and carry equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds to assist with security tasks or emergencies.
  • Assist in evacuations or other emergency responses, utilizing physical stamina and agility to support individuals in need.
  • De-escalate stressful or potentially volatile situations with professionalism, patience, and effective communication skills.
  • Uphold a professional and positive demeanor at all times, good grooming and uniform standards, representing the company and its clients with integrity and respect.
  • Adhere to legal standards, company policies, and client-specific protocols.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.
