As a Security Officer - Full Time in East Dubuque, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol professional at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical processing location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production-adjacent areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed by location procedures, and communicate clearly with personnel regarding site rules and restricted areas.
• Support emergency and incident response by following post orders, assisting with evacuations and/or controlled access measures, and coordinating with site representatives and first responders when needed.
