Requirements

  • Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established facility protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facility areas, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying authorized access as directed, and providing directions or escort assistance when needed.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency personnel.
