As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms and other security-related concerns, and provide welcoming customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patrons and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail food and beverage location.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of dining areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
- Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
