As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Response in Chesapeake, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
A Guard Card or license is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials and/or authorization in accordance with site procedures, and document security-related observations, incidents, and patrol activity.
Support a professional workplace environment by providing directions, communicating site policies, and reporting maintenance, access control, or other security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
