As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Verifier in Indianapolis, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control practices, security-related policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Screen people, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with site protocols, and report irregularities or prohibited items through proper channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including operational areas, entry points, and perimeter zones, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor entrances, checkpoints, and high-traffic distribution areas to help support authorized access, help to deter policy violations, and maintain awareness of security-related concerns.
