As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Rounds in Allentown, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

Candidates must have 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner while documenting relevant observations and actions taken.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access to the location by observing arrivals and departures, verifying authorized entry when required, and reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contact.
Support a respectful residential environment by assisting with routine inquiries, providing directions, and communicating with residents, guests, and/or staff regarding security-related matters.
