As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Driver in Watsonville, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitor activity, and help maintain a welcoming environment for patients, staff, and guests. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and support security-related operations through teamwork and integrity. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • A Security Professional guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access to hospital areas by verifying authorized entry, issuing visitor credentials, and documenting access-related activity in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with hospital personnel and emergency responders as needed.
  • Assist with directing patients and visitors to appropriate departments, entrances, and waiting areas while maintaining awareness of access points and restricted locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, access points, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
