Requirements

  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to established procedures.
  • Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining a professional presence in an educational environment.
