About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to conduct vehicle patrols at a utilities location in Mays Landing, New Jersey. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, managing access control, and assisting visitors and personnel with customer service. The position is scheduled Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM and pays $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required prior to employment depending on state and local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, responding to emergencies.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to restricted operational and administrative areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor and contractor entry and exit activity.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders according to procedures.
Prepare accurate reports of patrols, observations, incidents, and security activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
