About The Position

As a Security Officer at a commercial real estate location in De Soto, Kansas, you will help create a welcoming, security-focused environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, conducting routine patrols, and providing customer service. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver’s license. The position is full-time and pays $18.36 per hour. The listed schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State and/or local licensing may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or staff by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes as applicable, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to access concerns, incidents, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior areas, entry points, parking areas, and the property perimeter.
• Report unusual activity, access-control issues, and facility concerns according to site procedures.
