About The Position

Hersheypark amusement park spans 121-acres, and welcomes guests to experience Hersheypark Happy all year long! As the largest amusement park in Pennsylvania, Hersheypark is home to more than 70 rides including 15 coasters and 20+ kiddie rides, as well as a zoo, and an entire water park. 3rd Shift Security Officers are responsible for maintaining the safety & security of all guests, team members, and property of the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex during the hours of 11 pm to 7 am. Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age on the date of applying
  • Post-employment: Must obtain RAMP Certification
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Must be friendly, upbeat, and work well with other team members and be able to interact with guests
  • Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated to perform all aspects of the job at all times
  • Must be detail-oriented and have clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate verbally, including delivering safety instructions/directions, verbal cues, and speaking clearly into microphones and radios
  • Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company, and department training requirements
  • Must have the ability to remain alert and vigilant at all times
  • Must display a positive attitude, an eagerness to learn, and a professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines
  • Ability to handle stressful working conditions, and emergencies, and accept a high degree of accountability

Responsibilities

  • Provide exemplary service to guests and team members
  • Report and react to hazardous conditions and emergency situations
  • Receive telephone and radio calls (utilizing two-way radios), dispatch appropriate personnel, and log calls using an electronic Incident Management System
  • Monitor all vehicles and personnel entering and exiting the Complex to ensure all are authorized
  • Monitor alarm systems and closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems
  • Conduct physical security patrols of assigned areas and complete assigned safety inspections and security assessments
  • Consistently practice safe work habits including, but not limited to, the use of personal protective equipment, lifting, and reporting of unsafe situations
