About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol driver Security Officer for an aerospace and defense location in Elkton, Maryland. The role supports a mission-focused environment by conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to deter security-related incidents, responding to alarms, and providing customer service and clear communication. The position involves supporting site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
Active DoD Secret clearance.
Valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain entry and activity records for restricted areas.
Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow established site procedures, and notify appropriate personnel.
Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.
