About The Position

As a Security Officer - N Broadway St. in La Porte, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and conduct routine patrols to help deter incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in the job state and a TSA-issued TWIC. Provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a reliable, caring team that acts with integrity and delivers through teamwork.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, contractor documentation, and vehicle entry requirements in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate access-control logs, issue and recover authorized access materials, and report access discrepancies or unusual activity to designated personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency and security-related response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report security-related concerns.
