Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen entrants, personal items, and/or permitted belongings in accordance with location guidelines, and report unusual findings or prohibited items to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related concerns, disturbances, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, directing foot traffic, and communicating clearly with visitors and staff.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, with attention to screening areas, entrances, waiting areas, and other sensitive healthcare spaces.
