Security Officer Full Time Hospital Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for patrol assistance at a healthcare location in Long Beach, California. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible security presence, and help provide a welcoming and orderly environment for patients, visitors, staff, and vendors. The role includes customer service, responding professionally to security concerns and emergencies, and communicating observations to site representatives and Allied Universal leadership. The scheduled shifts are 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The pay rate is $23.00 per hour. Applicants are subject to background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, drug screening. Applicable licensing requirements may apply.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience.
- A guard card or license.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet.
- CPR certification.
- Handcuffing certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations, following facility protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, identifying and reporting unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and help maintain an orderly environment.
- Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
