About The Position

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor movement, report observed concerns, and document incidents, observations, and/or routine activities in accordance with site protocols.
• Support a professional environment by assisting with directions, handling routine inquiries, and following post orders and healthcare location guidelines during daily operations.
