About The Position

The Security Officer will monitor hotel premises for security breaches or suspicious activity, conduct regular patrols, and respond promptly to guest inquiries or reports of incidents. This role is crucial in assisting with emergency response situations, ensuring compliance with hotel policies, and documenting incidents for management review. The officer will also coordinate with local law enforcement, perform access control, resolve guest conflicts, and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining safety. Responsibilities include managing surveillance footage, conducting staff training, implementing safety protocols during events, and assisting in investigations of theft or property damage. The officer will also respond to alarms and monitor security systems.

Requirements

  • Certification in first aid and CPR.
  • Previous experience in a Security role required
  • Understanding of security systems and surveillance technology.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, and call back hours when required

  • Evaluate and resolve conflicts or disturbances among guests.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while ensuring safety.
  • Maintain surveillance footage and other security documentation.
  • Conduct security training for staff members.
  • Implement safety protocols during high-traffic events.
  • Assist in the investigation of theft or property damage.
  • Respond to alarms and monitor security systems.
