As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Badge Services in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with guests, team members, and visitors while responding to concerns with integrity and teamwork. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to shoppers, store team members, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas.
Monitor for unusual activity, potential hazards, and policy concerns, and report observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and incident documentation while helping to deter unauthorized activity and support a welcoming retail environment.
