About The Position
The Security Officer is responsible for policing hospital facilities, providing security checks at the front entrance, detaining and questioning individuals, and responding to fire alerts. The role requires the ability to monitor Close Circuit TV and work both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
Requirements
- Previous law enforcement experience preferred
- Previous experience in a hospital or nursing home setting
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- N.Y.S. Security Officer License, current
- 8 Hour Annual Security Guard Training Certificate
- initial 16 Hour on the Job Security Guard Training Certificate
- N.Y.S. Drivers License
- BCLS via American Heart Association
- Knowledge of CCTV and Radio
