Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to supervisors and/or local responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter grounds, to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may need attention.
  • Monitor assigned areas for unauthorized access, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns, and document security-related observations, incidents, and daily activities according to post procedures.
  • Support a professional environment by assisting with de-escalation, providing directions, and helping to deter disruptive behavior while interacting respectfully with patients, visitors, and/or personnel.
