As a Security Officer - Full Time in Sterling, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including assisting with access control concerns and visitor-related issues.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas to help support authorized access, observe activity, and report security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Document incidents, observations, and/or routine activities in written reports and communicate relevant information to supervisors, staff, and/or first responders as needed.
