As a Security Officer X Ray Examiner in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct screening activities, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will help identify security-related concerns, remain visible throughout the site, and contribute to daily operations with a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
Screen individuals, vehicles, packages, and/or deliveries entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and site protocols.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observed issues to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and shipment activity to help support orderly site operations.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
