As a Security Officer Area Patrol in Wendell, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This role offers the opportunity to support shoppers, tenants, and staff while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity through every interaction.

Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, entrances, corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, assist with crowd and line management, and help address policy violations, trespassing concerns, and/or disorderly behavior.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and observations in required reports, and communicate clearly with Allied Universal leadership, client representatives, and/or local responders as appropriate.
